Frontal view of field-collected specimen caught by trap at a depth of 350 m near Pt. Moresby, Papua New Guinea. Animal was being held for physiological experiments. The unique structure of the tentacles is apparent where the adhesive portion of the tentacle extends out of a protective sheath. The funnel is barely visible behind the arms on the right side in this view.
