A small Octopus burryi juvenile attracted to an underwater night-light. This animal has actually crawled onto a 1000 watt bulb. The mantle length of this animal is about 1 cm. Juveniles this size still commonly swim in the water column at night though they are transitioning to a fully benthic lifestyle.
