A group of month-old O. maya juveniles hiding in a piece of plastic grating. Each grid is 1 cm square. Note that about half of the animals are in a light coloration and the other half are in a very dark coloration, yet all of them are experiencing the same conditions. This is a good example of behavioral plasticity or variability in cephalopods.
Maturity: Juveniles; Lab or Wild: Lab; Origin: Yucatan, mexico
