Four late stage embryos. Note the pair on the left have not performed the second reversal in the egg as the pair on the right that are just a bit further along in development. This is apparent in the relative size of the external yolk sacs. chromatophore development is very evident. The black spot on the far right embryo is the ink sac. The green attachment cement produced by the female when laying eggs is still visible at the end of the egg stalks on two of the embryos.
